Covid day - BLAH! Never mind! Two months!

It’s been two months since we’ve been working from home! Two months!!! Good lord! Feels like a huge milestone!
Bent social distancing norms and met the scotch n cigar group today 😐 went to Lewisville lake marina park. Man, it felt soooo good to socialize after such a long long time! I realized how much i missed socializing! AND left my hair curly 🥰 big big step for me! I didn’t get adverse reactions like I expected! I guess it’s all in my head! I have a perception of how people perceive me - it’s all in my fucking head!!! Was kinda relieving to realize that today!!

The real reason why I blogged today is to avoid "Dwitiya Vighnam"...I dont even wanna try translating this into english but I'll definitely try to explain what it means. "Dwitiya Vighnam" is a popular Hindu belief....if you 'start' doing something one day then you continue to do the same thing the next day. Half Saree (Langa voni)

Half saree, aka Langa Voni (in Telugu), is a traditional south Indian outfit typically worn by teenage girls. It's called a 'half' saree cuz it's, well, just half a saree :) It's synonymous with a Lehenga Choli or Chaniya Choli from north India. Young girls would wear half-sarees and gradually as they grow, transition to wearing sarees. I remember wearing my first half-saree when I was 12 years old. It was such a big deal for me, getting a 'semi-grown-up' feeling for the first time. The trend sorta faded away, taken over by really grand n expensive salwars, but they are back with a bang! They're not just for young girls anymore. This fashion trend has boomed so overwhelmingly that they're almost as popular as sarees.
